Kittanning PSP Says Incident Accidental Death

No foul play is suspected in what is being called an accidental death in Armstrong County.  The Kittanning State Police report Friday afternoon shortly before 4 pm a 73 year old North Buffalo Township man was walking up this basement steps when he stumbled at the top.  Troopers say the man fell down the flight of stairs landing on his head and neck.  The man was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police did not identify the man.  The incident took place at location along the 100 block of Reckett Road, Kittanning.  


Plumcreek Twp Death Investigation

The Kittanning State Police are investigating the death of a known 48 year old Plumcreek Township, Armstrong County man.  The troopers report they responded to a location along Village Road in Plumcreek Township Wednesday for the report of a deceased male.  Police say the man was identified at the scene but his identity is presently being with held pending the investigation into his death.  That investigation is ongoing pending autopsy and toxicology results by Armstrong county Coroner Bryan Myers who assisted at the scene.  


Kittanning PSP Probe Apparent Suicide

A man was found deceased beneath a bridge in Armstrong County Wednesday  afternoon.  The Kittanning State Police report an abandoned vehicle was found on a bridge along the off ramp from U.S. Route 422 East to State Route 66 in Manor Township.  The victim, identified only as a 26 year old white non-hispanic  male was found deceased under the bridge.  The Pennsylvania 'state police are investigating this incident as a suicide.


Kittanning PSP Probes Two Natural Death Reports

Two Armstrong County Natural Death reports are the subject of separate investigations by the Kittanning State Police.  The troopers report  in the first case at a residence located along West Lebanon Road in South Bend Township a 65 year old Avonmore  man was found deceased within a vehicle located on the property by family members.  There were no signs of foul play or trauma to the victim.  He is believed to have expired from natural causes between 3:30 pm Monday April 3 and 7:15 pm Tuesday April 4th.  in the second case, an 81 year old Kittanning man was found deceased by family members in a residence located in East Franklin Township.  He was believed deceased sometime between 10 pm Saturday January 7th and 7:45 pm Friday Aril 8th.  The cause of death is believed to be from natural causes.  No indications of foul play or trauma reported to the victim. 


The Armstrong County Coroner's Office Assisted at both scenes.


2 Suspected in Death of Armstrong Co Man

According to information released by the Butler State Police Monday, there are at least two persons suspected in connection with the apparent murder of a 53 year old Armstrong County man in neighboring Butler County last weekend.  Fifty five year old Greg Bosko was found deceased Saturday in a rural area of Concord Township. 

Authorities say Bosko had been reported to the Kittanning State Police as missing Monday March 20th.  Six days later Bosko's vehicle was reported to the Butler City Police with two suspicious persons inside.  Authorities say the two may be related to Bosko's homicide.  Police also say the pair , who remain unidentified, had some sort of relationship with Bosko. 


Investigators say Bosko was a resident of Armstrong County but had resided in Butler for an extended period of time.  Police on Monday indicated they were still sifting through search warrants and piecing together information.  


Apollo Accidental Shooting Probed

An unidentified 22 year old Armstrong County woman is recovering from non life threatening injuries after her gun accidentally went while she taking it apart early Wednesday morning.  The Kittanning state police report at about 1:30 a.m. in a location along 2nd Street in Apollo Borough, the woman was attempting to take the weapon apart when it accidentally discharged.  The woman was struck in the left thigh.  She was transported to Forbes Regional Hospital for treatment of her injury.  


Money Allegedly Stolen From Elderly Lake Manor Care Center Resident

The Kittanning state troopers are probing the alleged of money from an elderly resident of the Lake Manor Care Center in Armstrong County.  The troopers report a person or persons unknown took a total of $53 cash from the wallet of an  87 year old unidentified woman sometime between February first and March 23rd.  Police say the person or person took cash on two separate occasions.  The first time forty dollars and the remaining 13 dollars .


Thieves Break In to Wayne Township Food Pantry

If the theft of money was not enough to tell you about, the Kittanning state police also report someone broke into an Armstrong County food pantry Sunday morning.  It is reported a person or persons unknown allegedly broke into the


Concord Mission Food Pantry and removed items.  All of this taking place at the Concord Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Wayne Township, Armstrong County sometime between midnight and 9 am Sunday.  Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Kittanning State Police at 724-543-2011.


East Brady Man Injured in Sugar Creek Twp Crash

In Sugarcreek Township in western Armstrong County a 56 year old East Brady man was injured after he rolled his pickup truck along State Route 268 last Friday morning about 7 am.  The Kittanning state police report say Matthew Smith was driving a 2000 full size Chevy Pickup Truck south on Route 268 when he lost traction on the snow and slush covered roadway causing the truck to slide to right.  Smith tried to regain control of his truck but was unable according to police.  The truck rotated to the right crossing the north bound lane when the front of the truck struck the eastern embankment causing it to continue rotating, now to the left, .  The rear end of the truck climbed the embankment rolling onto its roof and re-entering the highway in the southbound lane.  The truck came to a final stop facing east lying on its roof.  Sugarcreek Ambulance transported Smith to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.  


Parker Woman Injured in Rollover, Charged w/DUI

A 24 year old Parker woman was injured when her small car rolled over following a crash Sunday morning at shortly before 6:15 a.m. in Armstrong County in West Franklin Township along Benjamin Franklin Highway a quarter mile west of township route 306.  The Kittanning state police say Brittany Boyer was driving west on U.S. Route 422 when for an unknown reason she went off the north side of the roadway, crashing into an embankment which then cause the car to overturn and come to a stop in the left lane against a concrete barrier.  The woman reported minor injuries at the scene and refused treatment from EMS.  Boyer was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence of alcohol and was subsequently released after submitting to a chemical breath test.
